The Taurus T4 is an assault rifle made by the Brazilian firearms company Taurus Firearms, presented at the 2017 SHOT Show and manufactured at facilities in Sao Leopoldo, Brazil. It is essentially an M4 clone built entirely in-house, offered in three versions with two different barrel lengths, each fitted with a six-position telescopic stock and Picatinny accessory rails. It fires the 5.56x45mm NATO cartridge using a direct gas impingement action, weighs about 3.05 kilograms without a magazine, and feeds from 30-round box magazines, intended for military and law enforcement use.
