VSK-94

The VSK-94 is a Russian designated marksman rifle chambered in 9x39mm, developed at the KBP Instrument Design Bureau by Vasily Gryazev as a variant of the 9A-91 assault rifle and manufactured at the Tula Arms Plant. Conceived as a cheaper alternative to the VSS Vintorez, it uses a similar heavy subsonic round for quiet, armor-penetrating fire at moderate range, but unlike the VSS its suppressor is a separate, non-integrated unit rather than part of the barrel assembly.
