M26 Modular Accessory Shotgun System

The M26 Modular Accessory Shotgun System, or M26-MASS, is a shotgun built as an underbarrel accessory that mounts to the handguard of a service rifle, typically the M16 or M4 family, and can also be fitted with a pistol grip and collapsible stock to function as a standalone weapon. Designed by Ira M. Kay and manufactured by C-More Competition, it began entering United States military use in limited numbers from 2011 and, from 2013 onward, started replacing the Mossberg 500 shotguns then in service.
