The Intratec TEC-22 is an American semi-automatic handgun chambered in .22 Long Rifle, made largely from molded plastic and stamped metal for economical production and introduced in 1988. It uses straight blowback operation and accepts magazines from the popular Ruger 10/22 rifle, with a later Sport-22 variant produced from 1994 to comply with that year's federal firearms legislation.
