The SIG Sauer 1911 is a family of 1911 pattern semi-automatic pistols manufactured by SIG Sauer, Inc. of Newington, New Hampshire since 2004, modeled on John M. Browning's original Colt M1911 design that served as the standard United States military sidearm for roughly seven decades before being replaced by the Beretta M9. SIG Sauer's versions are offered in 9x19mm Parabellum, 10mm Auto, .357 SIG, .380 ACP and .45 ACP, with barrel lengths ranging from 2.7 inches on Ultra Compact models to 5 inches on Standard models, spanning carry, compact and full sized configurations.
