The Walther GSP, formally the Gebrauchs Sportpistole (sport pistol for standard use), is a semi-automatic, precision target-shooting pistol with an unlocked breech action, made in Germany by Carl Walther GmbH Sportwaffen. It shares technical similarities with the earlier Walther OSP model but is marginally heavier and longer. Designed with contributions from Swedish designer Thore Eldh, the GSP entered the market in 1968 chambered in .22 Long Rifle, and a .32 S&W version followed by late 1971.
