Heckler & Koch SR9

The Heckler & Koch SR9 is a semi automatic sporting and target rifle chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO, introduced in 1990 by the German manufacturer Heckler & Koch to meet civilian sporting rifle rules adopted after a 1989 United States ban on importing semi automatic rifles with certain military style features. Derived from the HK91 rifle and incorporating features from the PSG1 and MSG90 precision rifles, it uses Heckler & Koch's roller delayed blowback action, weighs about 4.95 kilograms and feeds from 5 round or 20 round detachable box magazines. Target focused variants, the SR9 T and SR9 TC, added an upgraded trigger group and adjustable buttstock drawn from the company's precision rifle line, and the rifle remains in production.
