The Steyr Model 1912 comprises Gewehr 98-pattern bolt-action battle rifles produced by the Austrian firm Steyr beginning in 1912, originally designed for export markets but also adopted by the Austro-Hungarian Army. The rifle saw active service from 1914 to 1918 with Austria-Hungary during the First World War and was also used in the Mexican Revolution.
