The IWI Carmel is a rifle platform made by Israel Weapon Industries, first shown at the LAAD defense exhibition in Rio de Janeiro in April 2019. Although originally designed as a fully automatic assault rifle for military use, the version sold to civilian and law-enforcement markets, chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, operates only semi-automatically.
