Ithaca Mag-10

The Ithaca Mag-10 was the world's first 10 gauge semi automatic gas operated shotgun, chambered for the 3.5 inch 10 gauge shell and produced from 1975 to 1989. Its CounterCoil system, built into the front of the magazine tube, reduced recoil to allow easier follow up shots but cut magazine capacity in half to two shells. Regular models featured jeweled finish bolts, engraved barrels, and checkered stocks. When production ended, Remington Arms purchased the design and used it as the basis for the Remington Model SP-10.
