The dagger-axe is a Chinese polearm in use from the Longshan culture through the Han dynasty, consisting of a dagger-shaped blade mounted by its tang to a perpendicular wooden shaft. Early blades were made of stone, later ones of bronze, and jade versions were produced for ceremonial use, with one variant carrying a divided, two-part head combining a straight blade and a scythe-like blade.
