Vehicles bearing the BTR name have been built by Soviet, and later Russian and Ukrainian, manufacturers including the Kharkiv Morozov Design Bureau, and the line remains in production and widespread service with the armed forces of Russia, Ukraine and many other countries that received Soviet era military aid.
