The DSR-1 is a compact, bullpup-configured bolt-action sniper rifle with a free-floating barrel, designed by Ingolf Reuter and manufactured by the German company DSR-Precision GmbH, entering production in 2000 and marketed for a time through AMP Technical Services until 2004. Its bullpup layout places the action and magazine behind the trigger, and the rifle offers quick-detachable optical sights, a fully adjustable rear stock and cheek piece, an optional tactical suppressor with quick-release mounting, and interchangeable, match-grade fluted barrels of benchrest quality. Chambered in .308 Winchester, .300 Winchester Magnum, or .338 Lapua Magnum depending on configuration, it offers an effective firing range of 800 to 1,500 meters and has been adopted by Germany's GSG 9 counterterrorism unit and other European special police units.
