RPG-29

Grenades And Explosives

The RPG-29 Vampir is a Soviet shoulder fired, unguided rocket propelled grenade launcher designed and manufactured by Bazalt, adopted by the Soviet Army in 1989 as the last RPG fielded before the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1991. It has since been supplied to state operators including Russia, Syria, Algeria, Cuba, Iran, Mexico, North Korea, Pakistan, Ukraine and Vietnam, and has also been used by non-state groups such as Hezbollah, Hamas, the Taliban, Syrian rebels and Iraqi insurgents. It has been supplemented in Russian service by newer designs such as the RPG-30 and RPG-32. FAQs

What kinds of rounds does the RPG-29 fire?

Military Factory states: "The RPG-29 series is afforded two specialized types of projectiles made up of the "PG-29V" and the "TBG-29V". PG-29V is the anti-armor projectile of choice intended to be used against armored vehicles and even against fortified structures. The type makes use of a "tandem-charge" High-Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) warhead for the role."
