Bayonets

Bayonets are blades fitted to the muzzle of a rifle or musket so that the firearm can be used as a spear in close combat, including knife bayonets and sword bayonets. A weapon belongs here when the infobox of its cited article names it a bayonet. It excludes stand-alone fighting knives and daggers, which sit in their own group. Weapons in this group are placed by what their own cited article states, so a visitor browsing bayonets sees only systems whose sources name that role, and can compare them across eras, makers and the forces that used them.
