Naval Guns

Naval guns are large-caliber guns mounted on warships and in coastal batteries to engage ships, aircraft and shore targets. A weapon belongs here when the infobox of its cited article names it a naval gun. It excludes torpedoes and field artillery used on land. Weapons in this group are placed by what their own cited article states, so a visitor browsing naval guns sees only systems whose sources name that role, and can compare them across eras, makers and the forces that used them.
