Artillery And Mortars

The 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV is a Russian self-propelled gun first shown publicly in 2015 during rehearsals for the Moscow Victory Day Parade, designed by the Burevestnik Central Scientific Research Institute and produced by Uraltransmash to supplement and eventually replace the 2S19 Msta in Russian Ground Forces service. It mounts a 152.4 mm gun capable of roughly 16 rounds per minute and a maximum range of about 80 kilometers with rocket-assisted rounds, entered service in 2023, and has seen combat with Russian forces in the Russo-Ukrainian War. FAQs

Is the 2S35 Koalitsiya-SV only built on a tracked chassis?

It began on a modified T-72/90 tracked chassis but can also be mounted on wheeled platforms.

No. The prototype shown at the Victory Day parade in Moscow in May 2015 was mounted on a modified T-72/90 tracked chassis, but the design is described as able to ride on other tracked chassis, including the T-14 Armata, and on 8x8 wheeled platforms. Trials of a wheeled version based on the Kamaz-6550 truck chassis began in May 2020.
