The Battle of Agincourt was an English victory in the Hundred Years' War fought on 25 October 1415 near Azincourt in northern France, in which King Henry V's vastly outnumbered English army, relying heavily on longbowmen, defeated the army of the Kingdom of France. The unexpected victory crippled France and began a period of English dominance in the war that lasted until the Siege of Orleans in 1429.
