Early modern swords and sabres are the blades of the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries, from arming swords and two-handed swords to the sabres of the cavalry. A weapon belongs here when the infobox of its cited article names it a sword or sabre and the weapon is placed in the early modern period. It excludes daggers and firearms. Weapons in this group are placed by what their own cited article states, so a visitor browsing early modern swords and sabres sees only systems whose sources name that role, and can compare them across eras, makers and the forces that used them.
