Fighter and Multirole Aircraft

Fighter and multirole aircraft are combat aircraft built to win air superiority, attack ground targets or do both in the same airframe. A weapon belongs here when the infobox of its cited article names it a fighter, a multirole fighter or a multirole combat aircraft. It excludes bombers, transports and reconnaissance aircraft. Weapons in this group are placed by what their own cited article states, so a visitor browsing fighter and multirole aircraft sees only systems whose sources name that role, and can compare them across eras, makers and the forces that used them.
