The P-15 Termit is an anti-ship cruise missile developed by the Soviet Union's Raduga design bureau in the 1950s and given the NATO reporting name Styx, or SS-N-2. China acquired the design in 1958 and produced several derivative versions for ship-launched and coastal-defense roles, known under names including the Silkworm and the Seersucker. Despite its large size, thousands of P-15s and its variants were built and installed on vessels ranging from missile boats to destroyers, as well as on coastal batteries and bomber aircraft.
