The Ya-Ali is an Iranian air-launched cruise missile, first shown publicly on 11 May 2014 when Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei visited the Aerospace Force of the Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution. Powered by a turbojet engine, it has a stated range of about 700 kilometers and entered service in 2015, initially carried by Mirage-derived fighters before being adapted for other Iranian combat aircraft. Its name invokes the Shi'i religious phrase Ya Ali, calling on Imam Ali for strength.
