AeroVironment Switchblade

The AeroVironment Switchblade is a family of man-portable loitering munitions designed by AeroVironment and used by several branches of the United States military, with export to other countries. The system is compact enough to fit in a backpack, launches from a tube, flies to its target, and detonates on impact, taking its name from the spring-loaded wings that fold inside the launch tube and extend after deployment. The original model entered use in 2011 and was later rebranded as the Switchblade 300 after the larger Switchblade 600 was unveiled in 2020.
