The Karabinek wz. 1929 is a Polish bolt-action short rifle based on the German Kar98AZ, manufactured in Poland from 1930 onward as the country's standard carbine through the Second World War. It refined earlier Polish rifle designs with a shortened barrel and reinforced construction, giving Polish forces a compact, modernized service weapon in the interwar period.
