The Beretta NARP, short for New Assault Rifle Platform, is a modular assault rifle made by the Italian firearms company Beretta. Development began in 2018 with input from Italian special forces, and the rifle is intended to replace the Beretta ARX 160 as the Italian service rifle under a modernization plan for the Italian armed forces. It is offered in 5.56 by 45 mm NATO with 11.5, 14.5 and 16 inch barrels and also in 6.5 mm Grendel. Beretta's British subsidiary has announced that the rifle will be entered in Project Grayburn, the trial to find a replacement assault rifle for the British Army. Users include the French gendarmerie intervention group GIGN and Italy, where the English Wikipedia article reports that 7,000 of 50,000 ordered rifles had been delivered by 2026.
