LWRC M6

The LWRC M6 is a series of carbines built by LWRC International in the United States as an improved variant of the M4 carbine platform, in production since 2006 and chambered in either 5.56x45mm NATO or 6.8mm Remington SPC. It replaces the M4's direct impingement gas system with a proprietary short stroke, self regulating gas piston system similar to that of the HK416, intended to reduce heat and carbon fouling in the action. Despite sharing roughly 80 percent of its parts with the M4, it fires at 700 to 900 rounds per minute and costs around 2,350 dollars per unit.
