The Smith & Wesson Model 30 is an American small-frame, six-shot, double-action revolver chambered for the .32 S&W Long cartridge; the J-frame version bearing this name was manufactured from 1948 to 1960 before being succeeded by the Model 30-1, part of a broader I-frame and J-frame revolver lineage Smith & Wesson produced from 1903 into the 1970s. It measures about 8 inches overall with a 4 inch barrel, was also offered with 2, 3 or 6 inch barrels, and uses fixed sights with a double-action trigger mechanism.
