Heckler & Koch HK4

Small Arms And Sidearms

The Heckler & Koch HK4 is a West German semi-automatic pocket pistol, and the weapon that marked Heckler & Koch's entry into pistol manufacturing, introduced in either 1964 or 1967 depending on the source. Built with a durable, lightweight hard anodized aluminum alloy frame and a straight blowback, unlocked breech action, it was distinctive for letting a shooter swap barrels to fire different cartridges, including .22 Long Rifle, .25 ACP, .32 ACP and .380 ACP, without tools. Weighing 480 grams and feeding from 7 or 8 round magazines, it laid the groundwork for the company's later pistol designs.
