This group collects the Small Arms And Sidearms subcategory's shotguns: smoothbore long guns firing shot or slug shells, spanning pump-action, semi-automatic, lever-action, automatic and break-action designs used for military breaching and close-quarters combat, law enforcement and sporting purposes. It includes combat shotguns purpose-built for military service alongside general-purpose and underbarrel shotgun designs, a revolver-cylinder shotgun classified here by its shotgun bore and shell rather than its revolving mechanism, and a carbine/shotgun assault-weapon hybrid whose own weapon-class attestation names the shotgun role first. Rifled long guns that happen to share a magazine or receiver lineage with a shotgun design are kept with their primary rifle classification rather than duplicated here.
