The Spanish conquest of the Aztec Empire, also known as the Conquest of Mexico, was a pivotal event of the Spanish colonization of the Americas in which the Aztec Triple Alliance collided with the Spanish Empire and its American Indian allies. Fought from February 1519 to 13 August 1521, the war ended in a Spanish-Indian allied victory over the Aztec Triple Alliance.
