The AS50 is a semi-automatic, gas-operated .50 BMG anti-materiel precision rifle made by the British firm Accuracy International, designed around 2005 and introduced in 2007 for use by British forces and United States Navy SEALs. Built for long-range engagement with explosive or incendiary ammunition, its floating barrel and lightweight titanium frame give it lower recoil than comparable bolt-action .50 caliber rifles and allow a fast rate of fire, cited as about five rounds in 1.6 seconds.
