The Air-sol moyenne portee, or ASMP, is a French nuclear-armed air-launched cruise missile manufactured by MBDA France. Within French nuclear doctrine it fills a pre-strategic deterrence role, intended as a final warning shot before any full-scale use of the strategic nuclear weapons carried aboard the Triomphant-class ballistic missile submarines. Its development was carried out by the missile systems division of Aerospatiale, whose assets now form part of MBDA.
