The Benelli M4 is a semi-automatic combat shotgun produced by the Italian manufacturer Benelli Armi SpA, the fourth and final model in the company's Super 90 line. Designed in 1998, it introduced Benelli's own Auto-Regulating Gas Operated (ARGO) system, developed specifically for this weapon, and it is chambered in 12-gauge. It has since been adopted by the armed forces of Italy, the United Kingdom, the United States and other countries, and has seen use in a range of conflicts.
