The Beretta 70 is a magazine fed, single action semi-automatic pistol series designed and produced by Beretta of Italy, introduced in 1958 to replace the earlier 7.65mm Beretta M1935. Certain pistols in the series were also marketed under the names Falcon, New Puma, New Sable, Jaguar and Cougar. It was the first compact Beretta pistol to introduce several features that Beretta pistols would carry for the rest of the century, and remained in production until 1985.
