Browning Auto-5

The Browning Automatic 5, commonly called the Auto-5 or A-5, is a recoil operated semi-automatic shotgun designed by John Browning and manufactured by Fabrique Nationale de Herstal beginning in 1902. It was the first successful semi-automatic shotgun design and remained in production until 1998. Its name refers to its five round total capacity, four in the magazine and one in the chamber, and Remington Arms and Savage Arms later produced nearly identical variants under their own names.
