The Colt Woodsman is a semi-automatic sporting pistol manufactured by Colt's Manufacturing Company in the United States from 1915 to 1977, designed by John Moses Browning. Its frame design changed across three distinct production series, the first running from 1915 to 1941, the second from 1947 to 1955, and the third from 1955 to 1977, with roughly 690,000 units built in total.
