CZ vz. 27

The vz. 27 is a Czechoslovak semi-automatic pistol designed by Frantisek Myska and based on the earlier pistole vz. 24, chambered for the 7.65mm Browning cartridge also known as .32 ACP. It uses a simple blowback action and proved highly successful, with more than 500,000 made by Ceska zbrojovka between 1927 and 1951. During the Second World War, occupying German forces captured large numbers and issued them under the designation Pistole 27(t). It remained in Czechoslovak service into the early 1960s before being replaced by the vz. 50 pistol.
