DF-4 Missile

The DF-4, also known as Dongfeng-4 or by the NATO name CSS-3, is a Chinese first-generation, two-stage, liquid-fueled intercontinental ballistic missile deployed from the mid-1970s. It carried a single warhead, or in the DF-4A variant three warheads with a yield of 3.3 to 3.5 megatons, over a range of about 5,500 kilometers, making it the first Chinese missile capable of striking Moscow. Roughly ten to fifteen launchers remained operational into the late 2010s before the type was retired.
