The FN Model 30-11 is a Belgian bolt-action sniper rifle made by Fabrique Nationale de Herstal and produced from 1976 into 1986. It was the company's last Mauser-based rifle system, with an action derived from FN's hunting and sporting rifles and ultimately from the Mauser design of the late nineteenth century. It is chambered for the 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge and feeds from a five-round internal magazine. It weighs about 4.85 kilograms, measures just under 1,120 millimeters overall with a 502 millimeter heavy hammered barrel, and was designed for precision out to about 600 meters. Features include a solid wood stock with a two-piece adjustable buttstock, an adjustable trigger, a folding bipod borrowed from the FN MAG machine gun, a flash hider and backup iron sights beside optical sights. It served the Belgian Army, special forces and police until competition in the sniper rifle market ended its run in the late 1980s.
