The Fritz X was a German guided anti-ship glide bomb, one of the first precision-guided weapons deployed in combat, developed by engineer Max Kramer beginning in 1938. It entered service in 1943 and 1944 with the Luftwaffe's III Gruppe of Kampfgeschwader 100, which used it against Allied shipping, and roughly 1,400 examples were produced.
