Funryu

Funryu was a family of Japanese surface-to-air anti-aircraft guided missiles developed by the Yokosuka Naval Air Technical Arsenal for the Imperial Japanese Navy at the end of the Second World War. A handful of prototypes, each about 4 meters long, 0.6 meters in diameter and weighing roughly 1900 kilograms, used command guidance and were built and tested in 1945, but the program was hampered by organizational problems in the wars closing months and never became operational. A single prototype was bench tested on 16 August 1945, one day after Japans surrender, and was then destroyed so it would not fall into American hands.
