The GBU-15 is an unpowered, precision-guided glide bomb built by Rockwell International and introduced in 1975, formed by attaching modular guidance kits to a Mark 84 general-purpose bomb or a BLU-109 penetrating warhead. It can be guided by television for daytime use or imaging infrared at night, with a data link letting the launching aircraft steer it remotely, and it saw combat in the 1991 Gulf War, where all 71 rounds dropped were released from F-111F aircraft, including strikes used to seal Kuwaiti oil pipeline manifolds.
