The GBU-53/B StormBreaker, formerly known as the Small Diameter Bomb II, is an American air-launched, precision-guided glide bomb built by Raytheon. Development began in 2006, it first flew in 2009, and it entered service in September 2020. It weighs about 204 pounds, can strike moving or stationary targets at ranges up to 60 nautical miles, and combines millimeter-wave radar, semi-active laser, infrared and GPS guidance so it can find targets through weather. It is used by the United States Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps along with allied air forces including Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan and the United Kingdom.
