Heckler & Koch AG36

The AG36 is a single-shot 40 millimeter underbarrel grenade launcher operating on the high-low propulsion system, designed by the German firearms manufacturer Heckler & Koch of Oberndorf am Neckar primarily for mounting under the G36 assault rifle. It began as the entry Heckler & Koch submitted for the United States Army Enhanced Grenade Launcher program, evaluated for use with the XM8 and FN SCAR rifles. Its name is not an addition to G36 but an abbreviation of the German word Anbaugranatwerfer, meaning attached grenade launcher, with the 36 referring to the G36 it was built to complement. It can also be fitted with a stock and used as a stand-alone weapon, or equipped with a laser light module.
