The Henschel Hs 293 was a German radio-guided anti-ship glide bomb developed by Nazi Germany between 1940 and 1943 and operated by the Luftwaffe from 1943 to 1945. First used unsuccessfully on 25 August 1943, it went on to damage or sink at least 25 ships over the following year before Allied radio jamming increasingly blunted its effectiveness after April 1944; more than 1,000 units were produced.
