Hsiung Feng III is a Taiwanese medium range, supersonic anti-ship and land attack missile developed by the National Chung-Shan Institute of Science and Technology and officially revealed on 10 October 2007. Powered by a solid rocket booster and liquid fueled ramjet sustainer to reach roughly Mach 3.5, it carries a 225 kilogram self forging fragmentation warhead guided by inertial navigation with active radar homing in its terminal phase, with a standard range over 100 kilometers and an extended variant reportedly exceeding 400 kilometers. It arms Republic of China Navy frigates, patrol gunboats and mobile launchers, with accelerated mass production ordered in 2019.
