Automatkarbin 5

Small Arms And Sidearms

The Automatkarbin 5, or Ak 5, is a Swedish assault rifle and carbine adopted in 1986, a license-built version of the Belgian FN FNC produced jointly by FN Herstal and Carl Gustafs stads gevarsfaktori. Chambered in 5.56x45mm NATO, it carries modifications from the original FNC mainly intended to adapt the weapon to Sweden's partly subarctic climate.
