The STV is a family of Vietnamese assault rifles and submachine guns chambered in 7.62x39mm and built by Z111 Factory, based on licensed production of the Israeli IWI Galil ACE with Kalashnikov-pattern components retained to ease the transition from older AK-platform weapons. It has been in service with the Vietnam People's Army and associated paramilitary and police forces since 2019, progressively replacing older Kalashnikov-pattern rifles.
