J-20

The Chengdu J-20 is a single-seat, twin-engine stealth fighter aircraft developed by the Chengdu Aircraft Industry Group for the Chinese air force, entering operational service in 2017 as China's first fifth-generation stealth fighter and one of only a small number of stealth fighter designs fielded by any air force in the world. Built with a low-observable airframe shape intended to reduce its radar signature, internal weapons bays to preserve that stealth profile in combat configuration, and advanced sensors and avionics, the J-20 is designed for both long-range air superiority missions and precision strike roles, reflecting a broader Chinese military effort to field advanced airpower comparable to the stealth fighters operated by the United States and its allies.
