The K9 Thunder is a South Korean 155 mm self-propelled howitzer designed and developed by the Agency for Defense Development together with private industry, currently manufactured by Hanwha Aerospace. It operates alongside the K10 ammunition resupply vehicle, and as of 2022 the K9 series held a 52 percent share of the global self-propelled howitzer market for systems delivered since 2000. The original K9 entered service in 1999, with the upgraded K9A1 following in 2018, and the type is operated by South Korea, Turkey, Poland, Finland, India, Norway, Estonia, Australia, Egypt, Romania and Vietnam, among others.
